Niki Staab
Compassionate • Accessible • Holistic
Niki Staab is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of KC End of Life, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making compassionate end-of-life support accessible to everyone. After completing her end-of-life doula training through INELDA, Niki recognized that many individuals and families could not afford private-pay doula services. She co-founded KC End of Life to ensure that financial barriers would not prevent people from receiving meaningful support during one of life's most significant transitions while also creating a landing place for end-of-life doulas after training. The organization provides mentorship, practical experience, continuing education, a supportive professional community, and meaningful opportunities to serve, strengthening both the doula profession and access to compassionate end-of-life care.
KC End of Life has continued to grow into a collaborative organization that partners with local and national organizations to expand education, resources, and compassionate care. The organization develops innovative community programs, provides end-of-life doula services, and offers workshops and presentations that encourage open, honest conversations about death, dying, caregiving, grief, and advance care planning.
Niki is also the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Rings of Care, a nonprofit focused on strengthening caregiver support through practical programs, community partnerships, and innovative resources both locally and nationally. Rings of Care works to build sustainable support systems for caregivers before, during, and after times of crisis.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Niki is a Community Health Worker (CHW), Community Health Worker Supervisor, and Certified Senior Advisor (CSA). Her work bridges healthcare, caregiving, aging, and end-of-life care, with a focus on helping individuals and families navigate complex life transitions with dignity, connection, and informed choices.
Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, Niki is passionate about normalizing conversations around death and caregiving, empowering communities to plan ahead, support one another, and approach life's final chapter with compassion and confidence.
